The Department of Anesthesia, Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone Clinical invites applications for the position of Anesthesiologist at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary. The position will be for 0.8 FTE. The ideal starting date will be July 2, 2020. Applicants available in late 2019 will also be considered.

The successful candidate should possess the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team; superior interpersonal communication skills; and a strong commitment to delivering innovative anesthetic care. Calgary Anesthesiologists support the Department of Anesthesia’s academic mission by teaching all levels of learners and participating in clinical and academic research. The position encompasses full clinical practice including on-call and appointment as a University of Calgary Clinical Lecturer.

Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone is one of the largest fully integrated, publicly funded health care systems in Canada and serves a population of approximately 1.4 million people living in an area of 40,000 square kilometers. An additional 300,000 people in Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan, and Southeastern British Columbia access health care in the Zone.

Applicants must be a qualified MD or equivalent, with specialist certification in Anesthesia and be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

Anesthesiologists at the Rockyview General Hospital are clinical fee for service, and salary varies based on clinical activity. No benefits are applicable to this post.
