Applications are invited for an academic position with the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta and the Departments of Cardiac Sciences at Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary. This will be a major clinical appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor level (or higher) for an outstanding cardiologist. The position will be based at Foothills Medical Centre located in Calgary, Alberta.
The successful candidate will have completed an accredited training program in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine with additional subspecialty training in Echocardiography preferred. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient practice. As well, there will be both daytime and overnight responsibilities for in-patient general cardiology clinical services, as well as ambulatory care consultative opportunities. The extent of clinical services can be adjusted according to the academic expertise and career path of the applicant.
The successful candidate will be part of the Libin Institute of Alberta. Current membership includes over 150 investigators and their research teams with a broad range of interests in cardiovascular medicine. The Institute is housed within the rapidly growing Faculty of Medicine that has recently added 2 new research complexes to its already outstanding facilities.
