Alberta Health Services in partnership with the University of Calgary invites applications to join the Section / Division of Endocrinology at the Foothills Medical Centre to commence July 1, 2020

Position Profile:

Clinical Endocrinology (85%)

-General Endocrinology (0.4 FTE at the Associate Clinic, Gulf Canada Square)

-Endocrinology City-Wide Call service (2 weeks/year)

-Endocrinology Central Access and Triage service (2 weeks/year)

-Diabetes in Pregnancy (0.2 FTE at FMC, 0.2 FTE at PLC)

Education (10%)

- teaching at the undergraduate, PGME, and CPD levels

Research (5%)

- collaborative research with a focus on peripartum period

- participation in quality and safety

- MD, FRCPC (Internal Medicine/Endocrinology)

- must be eligible for independent practice in Alberta

- record of scholarship and excellence in teaching

- record of scholarship and clinical expertise in diabetes/medical disorders in pregnancy

- record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate, PGME, and CPD levels

- familiarity with processes and priorities in primary care would be an asset

The candidate must read, write and speak English.
