Alberta Health Services, Department of Medicine, in conjunction with the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time clinical hematologist.

70-80% clinical service in all areas of hematology including ambulatory care, hospital inpatient and consultation. Weekend and weeknight call.

10-20% training/research in the pursuit of an academic focus on Quality Improvement initiatives.

5-10% education in the Division of Hematology and Department of Medicine (Fellowship and Resident Training) and the Cumming School of Medicine (Undergraduate Medical Education).

Be an integral part of the Hematology team in Calgary, utilizing strong collaborative skills to support and contribute to the overall clinical, research and education mission of the Section.

Qualifications include:


• Minimum specialized training (fellowship) in hematology

• Eligibility for licensure in the province of Alberta

• Established reputable excellence in clinical care and teaching of medical students and residents

Must read, write, & speak English.

The Practitioner is responsible for puchasing health and insurance benefits.

Continuing Medical Education reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible Practitioner receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for three years.
