The Department of Anesthesia, Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone, invites applications for the position of Anesthesiologist at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary. The position will be for 0.8 FTE initially, but can be increased if required. The ideal starting date will be September 7, 2021, though this can be negotiated. Applicants available beyond that date will also be considered.
Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone is one of the largest fully integrated, publicly funded health care systems in Canada and serves a population of approximately 1.4 million people living in an area of 40,000 square kilometers. An additional 300,000 people in Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan, and Southeastern British Columbia access health care in the Zone.
The successful candidate will be asked to contribute to the Rockyview Hospital and the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine in non-clinical areas. Non-clinical duties may or may not be funded, depending upon level of engagement. These matters may be negotiated with the Academic Department Head, Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, at the Cumming School of Medicine.
