The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone invites applications for 1 anesthesiologist in Calgary.

This position is a 0.2 FTE and the starting date of this position will be October 1 2021.

To provide a consistent and unbiased review of all foreign trained anesthesiologists who will be assessed by numerous Anesthesiologists in Calgary on behalf of all zones within AHS. Having a physician leader, with no conflict of interest, to organize the assessments and ensure the CPSA standards are met is essential for the program to be successful. As the graduates of the assessment will be practicing independently, a rigorous, unbiased evaluation is central to the safety of patients who will be managed by these physicians.

The Successful candidate must have:
· Experience as a former Royal College Examiner.
· FRCPC in Anesthesia and knowledgeable with the IMG process.
· National Testing Board.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
