Alberta Health Services (AHS) - Calgary Zone Department of Surgery invites applications for a Plastic Surgeon to work at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, one of four adult acute care centres in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Applicants for the position must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery, have at least one year of post-residency fellowship training, and be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Training and expertise in hand and wrist surgery and/or oncologic and trauma microsurgical reconstruction is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Section of Plastic Surgery and provide Plastic Surgical care in the Calgary Zone of AHS. Duties include Plastic Surgery patient care to the community of Calgary and surrounding areas. The successful individual will be expected to have a clinical appointment with the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery and to participate in medical student and resident teaching. Committee service is expected as the need arises. The successful candidate will provide on-call services according to the site guidelines and AHS policies. The Peter Lougheed Centre will provide operating and ambulatory clinic privileges.
