Alberta Health Services, in partnership with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, is inviting applications from Adult Psychiatrists to take the role of the Lead Psychiatrist for the Evening Treatment Program at the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) in the Department of Addictions and Mental Health. This is an intensive group psychotherapy program that specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy. The position involves assessment and treatment, including psychotropic medication management and psychodynamic group psychotherapy, to patients in the program. This position will be providing leadership and consultation to the program staff, which is comprised of 5 Mental Health Therapists, including 1 Team Leader.
The position also assumes a clinical coordination role for the Evening Treatment Program, which consists of organizing the program with other psychiatrists and operational leads to create efficiencies and effectively manage complex cases. It is an intensive group psychotherapy program that specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

This position reports to the Facility Chief, Addiction and Mental Health UAH, and works with a dynamic interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team within the UAH.
